ZAN 1989 S/T LP~RARE VG++ PROMO COPY ON TRANSLUCENT QUIEX AUDIOPHILE VINYL~INNER Media: LP Condition: VG++ Cover Condition: NM- Label: Warner Bros. Records Inc. Reference Number : 1-26010 Country: US Date: 1989 RARE original 1989 Warner Bros. PROMO COPY pressed on translucent QUIEX AUDIOPHILE VIRGIN VINYL complete with printed inner sleeve. Gold "Lent for Promotional Use Only" stamp on front cover. SRC logo stamped in dead wax run-outs denotes a Specialty Records Corporation pressing. Vinyl has a few faint surface sleeve scuffs/hazing just holding grade back from NM-, nothing I can feel. Labels are excellent. Original inner sleeve has seam splits at center of bottom and side edges. Cover has a touch of cornerwear/edgewear and a touch of ringwear just holding cover grade back from NM. If you’re not familiar with Quiex, it's like this: As CDs began coming on the scene in the 1980s, record companies started pressing Quiex II LPs for primarily for radio stations. The idea was to show that vinyl was still king and sounded as good--or better--than CDs. MOST Quiex pressings were marked as Quiex that were shipped to radio. But if too many were pressed, they were packaged as regular LPs and those lucky enough to unknowingly buy them were then blessed with clearer sound! This translucent brown Audiophile beauty IS one of those pressings.
