UB40 LITTLE BAGGARIDDIM EP~NM- 1985 A+M QUIEX AUDIOPHILE LP~PVC SLV w/HYPE~HYNDE Media: LP Condition: NM- Cover Condition: VG+ Label: A+M Records Reference Number : SP-06-5090 Country: US Date: 1985 Original 1985 12-inch EP pressed on translucent (when held to light) QUIEX AUDIOPHILE VINYL! This version comes in a clear plastic PVC sleeve with a green HYPE STICKER. EMW (Electrosound Group Midwest, Inc.) pressing with trumpet stamp and 'EMW' etching in the dead wax run-outs. Vinyl has a few faint surface sleeve scuffs and some light plastic sleeve hazing in the run-outs just holding grade back from NM, nothing I can feel. Labels have a couple light spindle marks. Plastic PVC sleeve with white print and green hype sticker has a 2-3 inch rip/split at the middle of the right side edge, bottom left corner is curled backwards, sticker residue on the '0' on the front, small price sticker top right corner of front, small price sticker right side of rear flap, rear flap is bent/creased and theres some light fading on some of the white text on the front. If you’re not familiar with QUIEX, it's like this: As CDs began coming on the scene in the 1980’s, record companies started pressing “Quiex II” LPs primarily for radio stations. The idea was to show that vinyl was still king and sounded just as good--or better--than CDs. MOST Quiex pressings were marked as Quiex that were shipped to radio. If too many were pressed, they were packaged as regular LPs and those lucky enough to unknowingly buy them were then blessed with clearer sound! This translucent (when held to light) AUDIOPHILE beauty is one of those pressings!
