SEALED (NEW) ORIGINAL AMPEX / QUANTEGY 479 LOW PRINT AUDIO REEL TO REEL TAPES on RED 7" REELS.
The Quantegy 479 (made by AMPEX) is the same formula as the 478 and 480, but is sandwiched in the middle of the two number-wise because of the 1650’ length. (478 is 1200’ while 480 is 1800’)
Quantegy called it “Audio Book Mastering Tape” as it was typically sold to Libraries and Schools for Audio book tape recording, but remains perfectly fine for ANY audio music recording.

Tapes have been stored in original box (held 20) in climate-control home of a professional musician. ALL tapes are sealed in original packaging and remain in excellent condition package-wise. Tapes are assumed excellent as well given storage care over the years.
