Original 1976 Prestige double-LP compilation. Sides A and B recorded March 7, 1958 and originally issued as "Kenny Burrell with John Coltrane" (New Jazz - 8276). Sides C and D recorded April 18, 1957 under the leadership of Tommy Flanagan and originally issued without a specified leader as "The Cats" (New Jazz - 8217).
Vinyl (2) ranges from VG++ to NM- with a few very light surface sleeve scuffs just holding grade back, nothing I can feel. Labels are excellent with the exception of a small ink stamp on one label on either LP. Gatefold cover has very heavy cornerwear, heavy edgewear, heavy ringwear/hazing, dinged bottom corners, a ding/crease upper left corner, a small sticker upper left edge of front cover, another larger sticker upper right edge of front cover, and another small sticker upper right edge of back cover.
