The idea was to show that vinyl was still king and sounded as good--or better--than CDs. MOST Quiex pressings were marked as Quiex that were shipped to radio. But if too many were pressed, they were packaged as regular LPs and those lucky enough to unknowingly buy them were then blessed with clearer sound! Specialty Records Corporation Quiex II Limited Edition promotional pressing. Translucent QUIEX, AUDIOPHILE vinyl is excellent with a couple very light surface sleeve scuffs, nothing I can feel. "SLM" in the dead wax runouts indicates that the lacquer disc was processed at, and the metal parts used to manufacture the record, were made at Sheffield Lab Matrix. Labels are excellent. Cover has heavy cornerwear, heavy edgewear, heavy ringwear/hazing, light spidering around the edges, a ding/crease lower right corner, and sticker residue upper right corner of font cover under hype sticker. HYPE sticker upper right corner of front cover, Gold PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY stamp upper left corner of front cover, and Quiex II Limited Edition Pressing sticker left edge of front cover.
