Ray Camacho Monica / Cumbia Caliente
UNKNOWN LATIN 45 out of Fresno, California from EL INTERNATIONAL RAY CAMACHO (possibly with the Teardrops): MONICA / CUMBIA CALIENTE.
I cannot find any record of this single anywhere. I DO find a 1966 single with the cat. no. CAC-103, so this could be a mid-1960s release. Then again, both songs appear on the "The International Ray Camacho & The Teardrops" LP (CAC-1001) from 1970. Given other evidence (cat. no.s) most likely this single was released in 1969 or 1970.
In any case, both tracks are rollicking Cumbia-style numbers with solid bass lines and popping, jazzy style Latin horns.
